I Need Help With Dark Rejections

This was rejected with quite a bouquet of reasons, with one of them "dark". Can somebody explain me what will be acceptable (if any) level of brightness for such photo (overcast and heavy snow).

Is snow not white in Moscow?
I suspect the image will be rejected even if the brightness/colour is corrected. Just looks to not have the quality at that size (but I'm sure the screener already suggested that?)

but who cares, I want to understand what A.net wants. Can you please elaborate what you did with this photo (except of reducing it to acceptable size
)?

Technically speaking I started only one in February. But if it against the rules can moderators please remove my threads exiting monthly limit?

All I did was use Curves and sampled white from the snow just below the nose. It then looked too bright, so I faded it back to about 90%.

It is often understood that one month is equivalent to 30 days. I did not say calendar month. Most of the other photographers have one thread for their images...not four in the last 30 days.
