My take is that both lack contrast and seem pretty dark. Can't comment on sharpness/quality.

1: grainy, blurryish, dark, flattish. Would probably not make it
2: blurryish, flattish, yellowish, still poor light. I have a hard time thinking it will it, sorry.

Kas, you're kind of lucky that shooting the messenger has fallen out of fashion!
But yeah, I see your point.

How about this one then, for motive.....a once in a lifetime visitor at my local airport; bear in mind:

In this crop I think it would be rejected. You could try a wider one, without cropping the winglet and uploading as window view, or a tighter crop on the aircraft but you would risk a rejection (distraction). Do you have any other shot on the sequence that you could crop only the aircraft whitout the winglet?

Cheers

I would show more of the wing and crop the left side to somehwere between the wingtip and cone.

I know the feeling of this, but unfortunately this is not a reason for A.net to allow photos if they are below par.

Oh, I DO realize this.
I just mentioned it, well; more as an explanation to you guys as to WHY I would like this unimpressive pic included in the data base.
She would also be new in data base, that may help a bit.

Anyway, here goes:

Doesn't it needs CW? Also still feels flat.

I must admit it looks a little different in this thread than on my editing screen!
CW is possible, yes!

It should also be uploaded with the info of the aircraft you were in (just mentioning it to be sure).
In general it looks marginal, with a blurry/very soft winglet. Sorry to say this, but don't get your hopes up.
