Dreaming to MAD in BA Club Europe (Club World Cabin) B787-9

Mon Jan 29, 2018 11:22 am

It was time to try another widebody around Europe. This time it was BA LHR-MAD on the B787-9. Booked Club Europe going out which gets you into Club World cabin. A good way to try the cabin without going too far whilst you save up your Avios for something further. Arrived LHR at 1100 for the 1320 departure and headed straight to T5 Galleries South for refreshments.

Transiting thru LHR have always found to be breeze. The lounge was not busy and soon found a place to sit.

Could not get a picture of the 787 on stand - but boarding was on time and settled in to the seat. 2-3-2 config.

VERDICT : Well, LHR is my home airport and BA my home airline for which I am truly thankful ! From arrival at T5, transiting through the airport, lounges, aircraft, cabins & crews - I think it's all done with class and don't shoot me down but I do enjoy Club World on the odd long haul occasion I get to fly it. I fly Y more than anything else and also enjoy those flights. I am fully aware of the arguments against CW and yes it has fallen behind the competition some what. But I will say it : I love BA Club World !

Part 2 coming up : MAD-LHR on same aircraft in WT+.

Cheers
