Boarding had commenced when I reached the gate. All carry on bags were hand checked by Thai staff before heading to waiting area. LAG's were removed.

A Swiss couple were being difficult, the man was unwilling to open his bag. I heard him being told if you don't get the bag checked, you won't be able to board the flight.

I wasn't carrying anything was a quick process for me. Bag was checked and all items neatly placed.

Passport and boarding pass was checked by Thai Airways staff and then by a Australian Border Officer.

Image

I met an acquaintance in the waiting area, the family had been to a wedding in Phuket and transitting through Bangkok.

Soon it was boarding time, I was sitting in the rear section. Proceeded to board the flight.

After settling in the seat, view of the outside. The flight was full, Didn't notice any empty seats. My seat neighbours were a couple, the guy wanted to upgrade to First class. Seems he wasn't happy with children crying in the section. He checked with the crew, they got calculator out and quoted AUD $1500 per person. He didn't take the upgrade. So disappointing.

Pushback

After all passengers had boarded, there was a short delay in pushback.

Meanwhile the crew accidently dropped tray on the BF. He was upset, crew apologised and got the GF meal from First Class. Mr. Murphy was full on. The BF mellowed down after that.

Having flown with SQ, MH and TG recently. I would rate them as follows: SG -> MH -> TG. Transitwise : Changi -> Kl -> BKK

Thanks for your comments.
