Video Report
IndiGo 6E414 - Bengaluru to Mumbai - A320 (VT-IEC)

Background

For this part of the trip I needed to head to Mumbai from Bengaluru (Bangalore). I was spoilt for choices, although for the flight timing that I needed (noon'ish) Indigo airlines was the only option. There were a lot of flights in the morning and evening session. 38 flights each day split mainly between the morning and evening sectors, with a few thrown in during noon/late afternoon time.

This is the third installment in this series of reports.

1. Virgin (on a rare A340-600) to Dubai -> for a quick 7 hour catch up friends
2. and then onward to Bengaluru on Jet Airways via Mumbai
3. India Domestic -> Bengaluru to Mumbai
4. A strange routing -> Mumbai to Urumqi with Air Arabia via Sharjah!
5. Urumqi to Bishkek on Air Astana via Astana.
6. Finally return back to London from Bishkek on Turkish via Istanbul

Thanks to GCMap.com (My entire trip routing)

My Log book: 3rd flight on Indigo / 40th flight on Airbus 320-200/ 171st Total overall flight

Seats were assigned during the booking of the flight and automatically checked in too.

On the day of the flight check in was very efficient and quick. Security was the usual, separate lines for makes and female passengers, although the security officers frisking the passengers were a bit more sprightly today.

Boarding commenced within 10 minutes of us reaching the gates. Boarding was very orderly and done in zones, starting from the rear of the aircraft. Passengers were segregated in separate queues and it was done very well.

First impressions of the aircraft was that the Aircraft was super clean and the temperature was well modulated. Boarding complete at 12 40.

Verdict

A really strong performance by Indigo on this short hop from Bangalore to Mumbai. On time, clean aircrafts and top notch crew on board. It is no wonder that they are doing considerably well in India compared to the rest of the airlines. Will happily fly them again, based on this performance.

With this, I have now landed in Mumbai and the next set of TR will take me over to China and then to Kyrgyzstan. Stay tuned for that.

Until then, happy and safe flying!

Thanks for the comments, Gr8Circle.
Indeed a strong product from IndiGo. I really liked their initiative where the head purser comes and introduces herself to every 3-4 rows. So he/she does this around 8-10 times (~30 rows)
