It was time to fly another European widebody. It was the BA460 1250-1615 & return BA461 1745-1915. I had flown this aircraft/rote before but being as I'm based at LHR, a spare day & some Avios to burn, just for fun, I booked Club Europe - same aircraft. Previous aircraft I'd flown on this route : BA B767/772/789/A351 & IB A330/346/359 in all classes. When the ticket was booked, aircraft was B777-300 which I was really l looking forward to.
Arrival LHR at 0900 for this 1250 departure :

Through the First Wing & straight into F Lounge :

After a few in hours in F Lounge of eating, drinking, lounging, checking the seat map on the app it had appeared something changed & only when I got to the gate I realised aircraft had changed from 773 to 772 ! Slightly dissapointing. I wanted the big bird :

Still, not the end of the world. Same Club World cabin, same seat !

Went for the checked, was really good indeed :

Finished of a glass of champers & black coffee :

After lunch I was chatting with the crew, I asked to have a look at F Class. This was happily granted and gave me 25 minutes of lounging time if F ! It was lovely !

After a couple of hours it was all coming to an end. On approach to MAD :

Obviously there are many BA/IB flights during the day but if you have the time the BA/IB widebodies are the way to go ! A nice way to sample long haul cabins for a couple of hours. Have to say T5 is always a joy (For me) & lounge access a nice bonus, the 777 was great and the crew could not have been nicer ! All in all a very enjoyable day out and will be repeating again !!

I am currently based in Newcastle and am planning to travel to Israel in April. I was pleasantly surprised to see BA uses an A350 to TLV.

@mke717spotter - Many thanks ! Yes the A350 is superb. I reported on here, my BA A350 flights to MAD. Out in Y & back in J. Try to grab a ride on that if you can ! Cheers.
