I had a quick trip that I was taking down to Charleston. For the flight down, I was on American with a connection in Charlotte. When I was looking at my options for the flight back, one flight caught my attention. I saw jetBlue had a flight, with a connection in Boston. The second flight from Boston back to Syracuse, was on an A320. Since this flight started two and a half years ago, it is almost always on the E190. But last month, and for the next few weeks, it is on the A320. For at least 10 years, most of the flying at SYR has been on the E190. So I decided to book this flight, since it was something a little different. This was actually the second time in 2020, I got to fly on a jetBlue A320 into SYR. The other time was back in the beginning of March, for a flight to JFK.

There were a lot of open seats towards the front of the plane, and the guy on the aisle moved up. So the middle seat stayed open. We started to pushback at 11:43am, 9 minutes early. The flight attendants did the safety demo and just as they were finishing, we started the taxi.
Taxiing to runway 28
There were some low clouds that we passed through, as we climbed out of SYR
We leveled off at 38,000ft and it was a smooth flight for most of the time, while we were at cruise.
Prior to starting our descent, the captain made an announcement. There were thunderstorms around CLT. He said that he was anticipating a bumpy descent, and he had the flight attendants sit down early. We had to deviate around some build ups on the descent, and there was some decent bumps throughout the descent.

Once we had pushed back, it was a quick taxi to runway 18L. There was only one plane ahead of us, so we did not have to wait long at all. Once it was our turn, we taxied onto the runway and took off. We departed to the south, and climbed straight out. We only made it up to 20,000ft, for the really short flight down to CHS.
Climbing out of CLT
This flight was really short. We only ended up spending about 5 minutes at cruise, before starting the descent. Just like on the first flight, there was a lot of thunderstorms in the area. There was occasional turbulence throughout the entire flight.
The only time the flight attendants came around was to make sure everything was ready for landing
Final runway 15
It was a smooth touchdown. We were on the ground again at 3:09pm, a short 31 minutes after we took off.

There were two 787s, sitting on the ramp. One was a Norwegian. It was a brand new plane. It had been built earlier in the year, and had flown to CHS. It has been sitting there for over two months.
My flight back up to Syracuse was on jetBlue. Both flights were on the A320.

Climbing out of CHS
When we departed, the forecast for Boston was calling for 1 mile visibility, with thunderstorms and heavy rain, as well as winds gusting to 40. Several planes were holding near BOS. By the time we got closer to BOS, the weather for the most part had cleared up. There was some other weather, that caused some turbulence on the flight up.

It was a bumpy descent into Boston

We pushed back from the gate at 9:20pm, and the engines were quickly started. We were one of the last departures of the evening, so we were the only plane taxiing. It was a quick taxi to runway 22R, and we were in the air at 9:31pm. There were some clouds and rain showers, that we passed through on the departure.
Cleared for takeoff
Climbing via the HYLND5 departure
We quickly climbed up to 30,000ft, for the short flight. We flew to the northwest, to go around some weather, before turning straight towards Syracuse. The flight went by quick, and about 15 minutes before landing, we started descending.
It was a quick taxi, into the gate
N561JB spent the night at gate 3. It flew back to Boston, early the next morning
The second A320, was much nicer than the first one I was on. This was only my second time on the new interior. It is definitely an improvement over the older ones, that are dated. This plane was much nicer, considering it was 10 years older than the first.
