[Video Only] Alaska Milk Run with ATC Audio!

Mon Sep 13, 2021 5:37 pm

Hello all!

Join me on this trip from Juneau to Anchorage with stops in Yakutat and Cordova Alaska. It was a fun trip along the northern sector of the milk run, although I wish the weather would’ve been nicer. I have also included flight loads for each leg for your viewing pleasure :) . Yes, there are a lot of trip reports of the milk run out there, but mine is the ONLY ONE with actual ATC audio from every stop. I had to acquire the audio directly from the FAA, and I’m the only one that has done this.

Date: May 8, 2021
Airline: Alaska Airlines
Flight: AS61 for all legs
Aircraft Boeing 737-700
Registration: N622AS
Route: JNU-YAK-CDV-ANC
seat: 10F for all legs

ENJOY!!!

Gorgeous scenery. As one who has not yet visited Alaska I appreciate you posting this trip and great report. How long did it take you to get the audio once you submitted the FOIA?

It was a long process, I would say 40-50 days after I submitted the request. I had to be quick as the audio would eat itself after 45 days.

I used to post these type of links in the regular “Alaska Airlines Thread” but the moderators said I needed to stop doing that. So here I am :)

Well done. I knew the tapes are erased after 45 days unless an incident etc., made the facility keep them thus my curiosity.
