Virgin Australia went into voluntary administration as the Covid-19 pandemic brought the aviation industry to it's knees. After new owners were found and the airline emerged from it a much smaller and leaner set up, their positioning was changed from a full service carrier to one of a hybrid middle tiered airline.
Regional Express Airlines (REX) decided it was time to get a few 737s under their wings and start ruffling the feathers of the incumbents. REX too decided to become a middle tiered carrier similar to Virgin Australia.
These 2 airlines have a BOB for economy class, but also offer free tea/coffee/water and a snack. They also have a business class product with the full works of priority check in/boarding, lounge access and warm meals.
So how do they stack up against each other? That's what we're going to find out in this video!
