Hello all!
With all the unique flying I do to smaller cities, I decided to start a new series of which this is the first episode, I call it my “Unique Connection Series”, where I will fly between two large/medium hubs using a connection in a much smaller city for no apparent reason, other than for fun.
In this episode I use Wausau, Wisconsin as my connection city when flying between Detroit and Minneapolis.
As I always say… “why pay more, to fly less”

I remember when I was a kid I wanted to get my dad to have us fly MKE-CWA for a ski trip to Granite Peak (Midwest Connect/Skyway Airlines used to fly that route). When you entered DTW-MSP on DL.com did that routing actually come up as an option? Or did you have to select "multi-city" to create that trip?

I had to select multi city option on Deltas website. If you book on a third party site then you can it “see longer flights” and it will usually show options like this.
