Finnair started recently operating flights between New York to Stockholm. However I believe this was recently discontinued. Miraculously we were able to get an
American Airlines Award for about 60,000 miles for $5.60 one way. Avios wanted about $800.
In the summer obtaining awards in Business from United required about 150,000; double the usual rate. Economy also required double at about 70,000 miles.
Delta required as usual about 200,000 miles plus.
The Finnair seats cannot automatically be turned into flat seats. You have to do a little gymnastics to get your body in the flat position. However one can lie flat to sleep comfortably.
Crew were nice; food was good. The flight was pleasant and was about 7 hours. Arriving in Stockholm was pretty quick.
However leaving Stockholm was chaotic in the security area. To get through lasted about 2 hours.

Thanks for the video! Yeah Finnair discontinued all their long haul services ARN to the US and Thailand, for the coming winter at least. They made a deal with Qatar Airways and moved capacity (A330) on the HEL/ARN/CPH - Doha routes.
