Hello everyone,
A few days ago I took my very first flight of this year with Air India (Domestic) From DELHI to LUCKNOW which is a short 45 to 60 Minute sector.
I have always found Air India domestic to be better than the likes of Singapore Airlines,Emirates and All of the American and European cariers put together and here are the reasons why.
This particular flight being a very short sector has complimentary refreshments which includes a vegetarian sandwich box plus water bottle also in the economy fare you get 25 KG Check in Baggage allowance which is again a rarity in todays travel and not just this even the free seat selection is available while booking through their website or app.
Since TATA takeover one thing that I have noticed is how punctual AI is getting and they make sure they stay on time and mitigate the delays which was the case on this early morning departure as well which comprised of zone wise boarding and efficient crew assisted pax with their cabin luggage promptly ensuring boarding is done on time.
Overall It was an amazing short flight yet again with Air India and I will continue to chose it as my first choice of travel withib India and Medium Haul flights.

I flew AI AMD-DEL two days ago on a vintage A320 in Y and the inflight service was great. We were all fed a hot meal with beverages on a 1hr 40min flight. Attendants were smiling and efficient. The legroom was AMAZING, the carpet was thick-pile and the seats colorful fabric. It really took me back to the 1970’s.
However, the flight was 1.5hrs late, was a bit dirty and many of the fabric seat pockets were dislodged/ broken.

Thankfully In my case the seat pockets were all intact and the seats clean also if you notice this aircraff I flew on is a 14 year old (VT-EDC) and somehow it was well kept.Though we had a delay but it was just 10 Minutes so I didnt mind it.
Also despite being a short 45 Minute flight we were served a cucumber sandwich box and when I requested another I was provided with one again.
There are some aspects of Air India which makes me like them more and its not just their Inflight meals on all sectors but also their luggage allowance which is the most generous Ive seen among any domestic carriers..even many Intl cariers dont allow such check in allowance i e 25 KG free for Economy pax.
Overall for me AI has never been an airline of horrific experiences Ivr heard for many to be and I continue to prefer to fly it.

When I flew AI (2018) the aircraft was ok (not great) but the service was fantastic for Y and the food was amazing!
