Tonight on my 391st flight, we’re heading from Arabia to Mesopotamia after a very short layover at Doha's Hamad International Airport. It was a pretty hectic dash as both our arrival and departure flights were operating from remote stands.
QR458 tonight is operated by A7-LAD an 8yr old Airbus A320-200.
After a short taxi past the Emiri terminal to runway 34R we were off into the night sky north towards Baghdad.
There was a full meal service on this almost 2 hour sector. The cabin crew distributed a standard chicken with potato entree accompanied with a quinoa salad and the most delicious mango mousse!
Flight was uneventful and there was no seatback entertainment screens so I couldn't even look at a flight map to see where we were.
We landed on time at Baghdad International Airport on runway 33R.
Qatar's service on this short flight was again excellent, next time I'm booking them for a long-haul sector!

Visited a number of historically significant sites... Iraq is a land of rich history. It was an amazing experience.
