Last summer I flew Toronto to Dubai on the Emirates A380 and since I had taken some footage I figured it would nice to do a trip report on it.
Emirates until recently flew 5 times a week into Toronto with an increase to daily flights since April 20th 2023. Air Canada recently began an extensive partnership with Emirates Airlines with code sharing on flights and reciprocal frequent flier benefits which helped to further open up frequencies for EK to Toronto and launch Montreal.
EK242 was operated by A6-EUK a 7yr old Airbus A380-800 on this day. My seat 48K was located in the nose section of the aircraft and was comfortable for economy and had a nice view of the engines on the big bird.
We departed off 24L in Toronto. Lunch service was chicken with polenta as we cruised over Quebec. A snack of cheese pizza was served over Italy ironically. Breakfast service was an omelette with chicken and mushroom as we approached Dubai.
On approach to DXB airport we were treated to a stunning view of the city with the Burj Khalifa standing tall. We landed just ahead of schedule on runway 30L.
I've flown on Emirates regularly since the early 2000s and their service it really good.
