Wed Apr 11, 2007 6:24 am

Hi guys! I have just become a member of A.net, and thought I would start by sharing my recent trip to Cape Town with you. I have also included many photos of Cape Town and the surrounding areas I had visited. The weather was just perfect for the duration of my stay, and afforded me the opportunity to take some very nice shots. I hope you enjoy them! (PS: This is more of a pictorial trip report than a detailed written report, I hope you don't mind  Wink.) Or as the saying goes: "A picture speaks a thousand words".

How many airlines are flying domestically within SA now????

SAA
Comair
Mango
One Time
Nation Wide
Kulula
SA Express

Seems like SA is overesaturated with airlines. I see maybe a market for 3

You can add SA Airlink and Interlink to that list.

I'll be flying down to CPT on friday with 1Time and back on Tuesday with Mango. Should be a good oppurtunity to test the two competing LCC's in SA. In my opinion , for the prices of their tickets and the service you receive , Nationwide stand out for me as the best domestic airline in SA.

Cheers from Canada!

Nice pics and report.
Did you had to pay additional to get the coffee and the sandwich or is this included on Mango?

I had to pay for the coffee and sandwich! Coffee R7.00 ($1.00), sandwich R20.00 ($2.80).

That was a fantastic report and just reminds me that I need to go back to the Western Cape again soon! Your pics were amazing; I did pretty much the same as you when I visited in 2002/2003/2004.

South Africa is the greatest country on Earth in my opinion and the sooner I get back the better.  Smile
