I apologize as the pictures are not very good and unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the lounges, food, etc.
Anyways here is the report:
EWR-NRT
Date: June 2007
Continental 777-200ER
CO#9
Seat: 5L
On this trip I am really going from Newark to Manila, however the best routing was on Continental and Northwest via Tokyo. My frist flight, from EWR to NRT was leaving at 11am, so i got to the airport at about 9am and went to Continental's BF check-in desk in Terminal C.
When i got there, there was a line of about 7 other passengers waiting to be checked in, however, a kind lady immediately asked me where i was flying to:
Lady: "Hello Sir, where are you flying to today?"
Me: "Tokyo"
Lady: "In BusinessFirst?"
Me: "Yes, that is correct"
Lady: "Welcome Sir, please follow me"
She then escorted me out of the line and took me to the electronic check-in computers and kindly did the check-in for me, and gave me my boarding passes straight through to MNL.
After this, I went through the dreadful process of airport security and went straight to the Presidents Club.
I have been to this Presidents Club many times, and I think it is very good, however for international standards, it is quite poor. I say this because they only offer chips, cheese, nuts, and crackers (bagels and muffins in the morning also). However i cant complain and helped myself to some juice and chips, and waited for boarding.

This is the awsome 777 that would take me to NRT, it was scheduled ontime and based on the amount of people in the waiting area, i could assume that Y would be near to 100% load.
Boarding was smooth and started with BF and Elite passengers, then Y. I happily took to my seat, 5L and was eager to start the long journey.

Take off was smooth and uneventful. After reaching some altitude the cabin crew started coming out with drinks and nuts. I remember having some champagne and the excellent cabin crew kept on refilling faster than i could drink!!
I dont remember the food offering exactly, but i remember the food first started with some japanese snacks, sushi rolls, and terriyaki sticks.
Then for maincourse there was the option between Beef, Pasta, or Japanese meal. I went for the pasta, which was excellent.
For dessert there was the trademark offering of Ice Cream sunday, which i obviously had, along with some kind of cake.
Overall Continental has excellent (and this flight was a good example) food offerings, and excellent service. Even though the BF seats are a bit outdated compared to the competition, the food, service and friendliness of the CO staff make up for it. (If any CO staff are reading this, please give yourself a pat on the back)
After food service i decided to just relax, read some magazines, newspapers and watch movies. On this flight there was no AVOD, and if i remember correctly, the movie offering was kind of poor.

Almost in Tokyo.

BF cabin. Lots of people sleeping and relaxing.
After about 14 hours, we started the descent into Tokyo.

Landing in Tokyo. A nice 747 from Asiana.

A picture of the plane that i flew in from Newark. She is getting ready to go back. This picture was taken from the NW Lounge in NRT.
Overall, i was very pleased with this flight. CO is a great airline, and their BF product is amazing, especially for such a long flight like this one.
NRT-EWR
Date: June 2007
Continental 777-200ER
CO#7
Seat: 3A
I was returning from the Phillipines and had just arrived from MNL. My NW flight from MNL arrived around 12pm and i had a couple of hours to wait in NRT.
The first thing i did was to locate the CO transfer desk and re-confirm the gate. Once i got there, a kind lady asked me:
Lady: "Hello, are you flying to Newark or Houston?"
Me: "Newark"
Lady: "In BusinessFirst?"
Me: "Yes"
Lady: "What is your last name?"
Once i gave her my name, she gave me my boarding pass which she already had printed, and i guess was waiting to give me as she knew ahead of time i was coming from MNL.
After this i went to the NW club to pass some time.
I must be honest, i was very impressed with NW's lounge in Tokyo. In NRT they have three lounges and i went to their biggest one. In this facility they have showers, lots of chairs, sofa's, free internet and computers. They also have an EXCELLENT food and beverage selection- especially for a US airline. Among the normal wines, champagnes, coffees, they also had an extensive selection of japaneese drinks, sushi's, soup, shrimp dumplings, crackers, etc.
I am sure that other NW lounges in the US are not like this, so i took advantage and filled up on Sushi and Japanese beer.
After a few hours i was stuffed and bored of surfing the internet so i decided to go to the gate for boarding.

The NW 747 that brought me in from Manila.

CO 777 that just came in from EWR, was also my ride back to EWR. - Photo taken from NW lounge!!

My plane back to EWR. - Taken from NW lounge.
Boarding was smooth and i immediatley went to my seat.

Cabin starting to fill up, and people getting settled in for the 12.5 hour flight to EWR. Photo taken from my seat.

Just pushed back and ready to taxi for take-off. Its so cool how the Japaneese waive you off like this.
Take-off was smooth. Cabin crew started the meal service, which just like on my EWR-NRT flight, the food included Japaneese snacks and food. I had the chicken this time, and i remember it was good. After the meal service it was getting dark and people started going to sleep.

Beautiful sunset.

Not even close to Newark yet
At this point i was pretty tired so i decided to sleep for a few hours. The CO BF seat is comfortable on these long flights, however i had some trouble not sliding down my seat because of the incline. I REALLY hope that CO changes their BF seats to something better! However, i cant really complain as it is still comfortable and gets the job done.
Hours later i woke up and decided to walk around the cabin and stretch my legs.

Later on they had a meal service, i dont really remember what i ate, but im sure that it was good.
We then started our descent into NY. At this point i was a bit bummed out. The service and experience was so good, i didnt want it to end.

Manhattan Skyline while on approach to EWR.
Thats all the pictures i have for this trip on the CO sectors. When i took that trip last year, i didnt really know about trip reports so i didnt think to take more pics of the lounge, airport, food, seat etc... However, from now on i will be making more trips and reporting back.
I hope you enjoyed this.
Below are the pics on my NW segments: NRT-MNL-NRT

My plane to MNL.

View from my seat on NW's World Business Class upperdeck. I was the ONLY person in the upperdeck. I guess everyone else was downstairs. Because i was the only one, i can assure that the service was amazing!! I felt like a king. Also, this plane had AVOD and i was overwhelmed with so many movie and music choices!! the 4 hour flight from NRT was too short!!

Nice JAL 747, taken in MNL while boarding my flight back to NRT.

View from my seat, last row in WBC nose section. The view of the WBC seats from this angle is kind of ugly.

Climbing out of MNL.

MNL is a great place.

Back in Tokyo.
