777 Full Motion Flight Simulator Trip Report

Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:02 pm

Hi guys, debating whether this is the right forum or not, but thought I would post it here and it can be moved if not.

This past Sunday, me fellow nutter Gavin (Nighthawk) had a little fun in one of the British Airways 777-236 full motion Flight Simulators.

FANTASTIC experience. One of the best things I have done in a long time, and a very good dream of mine has finally been realized.

I saw a few weeks ago someone had used the Google Docs application to post the TR, and it looked stunning (As well as the fact that at the moment pics cant be linked to Anet) so I did one using this application. Below is the link.

Enjoy

Sounds like you had a good time. I would like to have a go in the simulator as well. Maybe KLM has a similar offer, I will look in to it. Nice report!

Great report! It is definitely hard to go back to flying on the PC after an experience like that. I flew a 737NG sim myself, although not a motion sim at flight experience in hong kong. flightexperience.com got a great package for $300USD for 2hrs, my instructor was awaiting aircraft assignment with CX. Anyways, glad you enjoyed yourself and i second that; anyone who can afford it should definitely get off the computer and go there...RIGHT NOW.  spin

Nice 'trip' report! Looks like you had a lot of fun - you'll make a lot of people here very jealous with this. Ah well, if they have another sale far into the future...
Have you ever felt like you could float into the sky / like the laws of physics simply don't apply?

Nice report! I really wish I could do that, unfortunately simulators in Egypt can't be used by the public  Sad next time im in the UK, i'll definitely try this!

Thanks for sharing!

Seriously? How come? Because i've been trying to post a TR and it wasn't working, could this be the reason?

I think its be nice to Dad time  Wink

I recently had the chance to fly in a BAe Hawk simulator at RAF Valley while on an Air Cadet summer camp - it was really amazing - but this looks even better!

A great TR, well done.

A nice pictorial report of something i've also had the opportunity to do (thankfully at a fraction of the price  Smile )

Now try a flying lesson/PPL it's an even better feeling!

Thanks again for sharing.

I do enjoy a spot of flying, especially when it's not in economy!

RAF Valley

Good old Valley, my sis was born there and we lived there 2 years on base.

If I could afford it, boy I would be there like a shot.
