Dear All, having trouble posting pictures on here but please see attached to show pictures from my flight. The day was to purely catch the 787 and using some BA Avios you can get a cheap J class widebody flight within Europe. Actually I caught two widebodies that day. Starting from LHR my day looked like this :
BA - LHR-MAD 0620-0940 on a European config B767 Y
LA - MAD-FRA 1515-1750 B788 J
BA - FRA-LHR 1940-2020 A320 Y

Verdict :
British Airways were as good as they can be on European sectors with some decent snacks & drinks. Service was with a smile and of course always to get a B767 flying within Europe.
LAN Chile - lovely aircraft, lovely seats (Could easily do a MAD-SCL on this) food was good and all served nicely but crew not overly friendly, they just did their job and that was that.
Did use the Iberia Velázquez VIP Lounge at MAD which again was comfortable, well stocked and enjoyed a few San Miguels whilst there with some Tortilla. Free Wifi of course and decent views outside.

Great pics, and I'm glad to hear that LAN provided a good J class experience. Am trying this route myself in September (LCY-MAD-FRA-LCY.) In fact, from the looks of your pictures I have chosen same seat!

Bizarrely it seems that LAN's J class can now be bought cheaper than Y for when I'm looking: early October it's £1 cheaper in J!
