The Morning After The Night Before.

Thu Oct 16, 2003 7:06 pm

Don't you hate waking up the next day after a heavy night, only to stink of smoke (not yours because you don't smoke) and to have an unbelievably bad headache? Yes, I do.

Well drink plenty of water before you go to sleep, simple cure.  Smile But yes it does suck, especially when you wake up and you are very sick.  Sad

If you REALLY drank a lot, make yourself throw up before you go to bed. I know it sounds gross, but you'll thank me in the morning. Then, drink lots of water and eat some carbs.

Water does not always work. But drink it often, eat some food, and drink Powerade/Gatorade. Some electrolytes are lost when you drink, so drink Powerade.

In all seriousness, I was anticipating opening a thread about waking up with a chick that was a queen at closing time but coyote ugly in the morning. As far as alcohol poisoning goes, only time is the real cure, but, you can GREATLY reduce the effects of being "over-served" by eating a good meal before striking out for the evening and occassionally munching while drinking.

The above-suggetsions are good, too, but I prefer to eat rather than barf. Can't do much about the smoke smell, except change bars..Jack

If your drinking beer, try to drink a glass of water after each can of beer you drink. It's never failed me.

ok, so you drink a beer, drink water, take a pee. Beer, water, pee. Beer, water, pee. Beer, water, pee.

I think I would rather eat a lot/get a hangover than spend that much time in front of a urinal.

Long island, long island, long island, long island, home, airport ticket counter.

I got sent home.

LOL!!

In any case, I like to eat some bread before bedtime and that helps with the stomach in the morning, but the headache... I need relief!

In the morning if you feel sick I find eating something really fatty or greasy makes me feel a lot better.

MacDonalds Breakfast is my savior in such situations.

Isotonic sports drinks are the answer. They're absorbed more quickly, upset your stomach less, and you get lots of user-friendly carbohydrates too.

Although I quit drinking as a new years resolution  Big grin so this year I just sit around smugly whilst other people complain about hangovers and empty wallets.

I have a hard time sleeping off a hangover. I usually wake up at the butt crack of dawn and stay up through the day. It really sucks, cause I'm all nervous and feel like shit. The only time I ever slept off a hangover REALLY well is when someone gave me a couple of Ativan. Man, I slept like a rock, got up, and went out again.
