Had to laugh at the chick they interviewed. "In 24 hours we were able to round up 50 people!" I would hope that if I needed help painting my house I could round up more than 50 people in less than 24 hours! Maybe she should have offered some free beer after the protest. Secondly, I wonder if anyone told her that if she hopes to ever convince anyone she is serious, or to even be taken seriously, she needs to ditch the bull ring in her nose. Shame they didn't have a stun gun they could use on her, would have like to have seen her jiggling all over the ground.

Universities and colleges are terrible places to exercise free speech. I have seen speakers yelled over, physically attacked, screamed at, etc. Alot of young people don't realize that an important part of having an intelligent discussion/arguement is to listen as well as to speak. So these people are going to college, huh? Not too bright.

While I despise the political beliefs and machinations of Mr. Rove, I do disagree with any protest that involves throwing anything at anybody. These 3rd grade protesters were idiots and I wish some of them were busted to make a point. At least they did let him speak to a campus Republican group before this protest.

This website is a joke.
It looks like something Young College Republicans on spring break came up with. And clearly they, nor you, have ever been to Damascus. While some women may wear the hijab, and while some wear scarves on their heads (still showing their long hair), most women are not covered in Islamic hijab, chador, burkha or otherwise. In fact, the old city of Damascus has over the past 5 years been converted into a labyrinth of discos, bars, cafes, bookshops and restaurants which is just as modern as anything in Beirut or Tel Aviv.

Then you need a lesson in how Washington works.
Richard Armitage isn't being indicted not because of the bullcrap GOP talking bile on how she wasn't a covert op. He wasn't indicted because Fitzgerald decided that he wanted to focus on the white-collar coverup and also because Armitage upon realizing what he'd done was forthright with Colin Powell right away. He also cooperated with the Grand Jury and was pretty straight with his role in the matter.

It's acceptable to destroy the life of an undercover CIA agent, serving her country.
It's acceptable to call a war hero a coward and make fun of his injuries.
It's acceptable to equate an amputee war hero with a terrorist.
It's acceptable to make fun of people suffering thru a terrible disease.

Try to understand this, and you can go to the Senate hearings transcripts to back this up. Valerie Plame was NOT an under-cover agent for the CIA according to the law. There was NO law broken. This was ENTIRELY political. The Law states (And the woman who WROTE the law testified to this) that the CIA has to declare an agent undercover to the administration. IF the agent's name comes up in the press that name has to be vetted by the CIA (Novak did this.) THE CIA MUST then actively attempt to keep the identity secret.
Simply put the CIA allowed her name to appear in Novak's column therefore she was NOT undercover.

Actually, many Muslim women, especially in Western countries, choose to wear the hijab as a mark of religious identification. Don't assume that it is necessarily a symbol of oppression.
