What City Is This?

Tue Oct 07, 2008 6:19 pm

A picture posted on a different forum, showing a bride wearing a .... revealing wedding dress (to put it mildly!), has sparked a bit of a debate concerning the city in which it was taken. It does not appear to be in the United States, based on the architectural style of an older building in the background and visible trolley wires. I also think that the two women in the foreground are Russian-looking. Guesses have included Moscow, Berlin, and a city (Kiev?) in Ukraine. I was wondering if someone here might recognize the background.

Here is a link to the picture:

That is one of the least flattering and stupid wedding dresses I've ever seen. I thought it was supposed to be an elegant occasion?  Yeah sure Girl on the left of the pic looks alright though  Wink

I'd say Kiev, the buildings in the background and trolleybus lines ring a bell, but it's certainly somewhere in Eastern Europe.

I'm not sure what city that is. At all. I would like to know how that girl (and her dress) are defying gravity...

She is an adult woman. Nothing the mother could say.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with her wedding dress.
I am sure the husband is confidant that he made the right choice.  yes

I cant stop laughing at how smug the guy looks, he's like 'yeh there all mine!' There must be a bit of metal something pushing them up from underneath, because there is no way a dress could hold them!

As for the city....dont know, dont care really! Its somewhere where you can dress like this on your wedding day. I wonder if its the set for a porn movie?

Don't be such a prude.
It's just a low cut dress and I am sure the groom is very excited as it is shown on his face.  Smile
I would be too!
Not sure why people here are so concerned about what her mother thinks. She is totally out of the equation. How about the groom's opinion? Doesn't his opinion matter? After all, it's his wedding too. That is the bride & grooms day and no one else's opinion matters but their's.
They are probably a very lively couple that likes to have fun, sense of humor and have very few hangups.
I have never seen a hooker or a streetwalker in a wedding dress.

Worth noting, if the bride's mother had a say in his future wife's wedding dress, just imagine how much say she would have in their marriage. Hence that would be a sign to keep your options open.
