British Comedian Victoria Wood Dies Age 62

The BBC are reporting that British comedian and Bafta award winner Victoria Wood has died at the age of 62 after a short battle with cancer.

May she R.I.P

Very sorry to hear this - an extremely gifted writer and comedienne, lost far too young.

She was an excellent stand-up, a fine writer of comedy songs and a real all-round entertainer, sadly missed.

Sad when I heard this earlier. She was a great all round entertainer. We are loosing too many recently

I loved so much of her work from the irreverently silly (Acorn Antiques and Dinner Ladies) to the more serious stuff she wrote.

One of my favorites has to be the "Let's do it" song

Yes thats the one that came to my mind when I heard she had passed. You dont get the same calibre of talent these days. Sadly its all dying off.
