I went to the Flight Path Museum event with N666US yesterday. Great turnout and the crew participating in the event were all wonderful. Captain Allen spoke for hours, answered every question and provided interesting stories and anecdotes. Visitors got to visit every nook and cranny of that bird. The museum staff was top notch as well, and mostly consisted of retired flight attendants. The collection of vintage uniforms is incredible.
I think it was said that it will handle charter flights through the beginning of January. Then off to AZ.

I was also at Flight Path yesterday to wish N666US a fond farewell. The museum staff were their usual and accommodating selves, and this was a great opportunity to talk to crew and take a leisurely look at a beautiful aircraft.

Was just listening to LAX live atc on youtube and heard the DL747, didn't realise it was something major until coming on here.

If Flightaware is correct, the DL 744 will arrive just five minutes after BA's 744 arrives!! Our little postage stamp is going to handle two passenger 744s at once! I suppose the DL will head to the Jimsair area, but still it will be a site to behold!

That flight supposedly coming from TPA is 763 according flight aware. Ill check FR24 in the morning. Originally planned a 744 with a 1130 arrivala herein TPA and a 1430 departure to CLT

I wonder if this irks those that made a special effort to be on DL's last 747 flight? Kind of dampens the excitement of being part of the 'last' flight when the aircraft continues flying charter pax around who couldn't care less what kind of aircraft they're on.

I love the Flightpath Museum. I would volunteer there if I lived out there .
