TWA Constellation bar at TWA hotel at JFK
I hear there will be a Lockheed 1649A Super Constellation at the new TWA hotel at JFK.I hear it will be the one from Auburn Maine that was used for parts to restore one and I hear that one will be shipped to germany as restoration has ceased.The one that will go to JFK will it be the whole plane or just part of the plane like the fuselage.I am sure it will be taken apart and trucked there of course.

That would be very cool. I got to use that terminal once as a passenger in 1974 on a 707 arriving from LHR. I still remember how neat it was and when on occasion I used to go pick up a passenger there in later years. I look forward to seeing it all once it reopens.

There is more to this than hearings, the project is in the works and by late summer the plane should be in JFK. I know the folks involved and they are already working on the project.
