LATAM Brazil 767-316ER 29227/698 PT MOG, flew to MEX to get the new livery for onward delivery to LATAM Argentina as LV-IQW. I believe this is one of the ones with the old J cabin? It will be used on the new EZE-CUN route and to supplement MIA and LIM flights.

Yes, this frame was the only one in Brazil with the old J cabin...

Although it would be amazing, I doubt the 763 can make it to MAD fully loaded.

AFAIK, LATAM is already operating 10x w on the EZE-MIA-EZE route and there are no further increases planned. No plans to launch MAD service and the 767 is not ideal for that route with a full payload. Mind you this is a 1998-built frame and surely not as capable as newer units on the LATAM fleet.

These older 767s do not feature the latest cabins and given their age I doubt they will be upgraded.

Currently LATAM Argentina has 8 weekly frequencies on the EZE-MIA route, and of course it can if the Boeing 767-300ER fly EZE-MAD LATAM Chile started flying SCL-MAD with this model the same Aeromexico with MEX-NRT the flight was made with a Boeing 767-300ER and is a longer route than SCL-MAD and EZE-MAD and with a model built in the 90s

Then the 2 other frequencies will come online next month, for a total of 10, which are perfectly doable with 3 767s. You do not need a fourth frame for MIA unless another one is leaving the fleet. LATAM has received authority to start EZE-CUN so this frame has to be for that flight or to replace one that may be leaving the fleet or converted to freighter.

A 767 can't consistently fly nonstop between EZE and MAD unless it carries some weight penalties. Southern Winds (defunct airline and the only one that has operated the route with the 767) struggled to consistently fly the route nonstop all the time. SCL-MAD on LAN Chile stopped at GIG and only when the latest 767s were delivered to LAN in 2012 they could fly non stop between SCL-MAD but with redispatch on the way.

Aeromexico services to NRT from MEX with the 767-300ER (if they were ever used on the route) had to stop at Tijuana on the way to Japan. They may have been nonstop on the way back, but as you may know, returning from Asia to North America there is the benefit of tailwinds that can shorten the trip by a factor of around 100 minutes. And you also have to factor MEX's altitude. And as I write this, I seem to recall (and seen in person @ NRT) that AM used the 767-200ER for the NRT flights, which had more range than the 300ER version. Once those left the fleet NRT was served with the 77E.

Indeed, the "new" 767 for LATAM Argentina was to replace another that is earmarked for freighter conversion. LV-CDQ (35229/949) left EZE for MIA on ferry as LA9983 - 2/1/19.

LV-IQW entered commercial service on 3/1 with a daytime EZE-MIA rotation.
