Do You Play Pinball?

I grew up frequently hanging out at the malls in the 1980s and spending a lot of quarters at the arcades playing pinball. I continued to play into the early 1990s at college. After I graduated and started a normal adult life, I rarely played as pinball machines rapidly disappeared from grocery stores, arcades, and the little mom and pop places.

Fast forward to last year, I rediscovered pinball and am totally hooked again! I joined a league earlier this year and recently I'm starting to make trips out of state to play at "legendary" places and festivals. Soon I will be purchasing my first pinball machine for home when a basement remodel is completed (including an electrical upgrade which will be able to support multiple machines).

I'm fortunate to live in a city that has a lot of great places to play with a lot of variety. My current favorites are:

Does anyone on here enjoying playing pinball? If so, where do you play and what are your favorite machines?

Ever since I was a young boy, I've played the silver ball (sorry, as a Who fan I couldn't resist).

When I was in college, used to play all the time, game rooms and bowling alleys were our usual spots. Mis-spent many an afternoon when I should have ben studying. Haven't done so in years but now you've got me thinking about it, I may have to seek out a place.

I did the mall thing in the 80s too. Loved pinball, Donkey Kong. Asteroids. Beserk etc. Nowadays not so much.

Much to the chagrin of my wife I attempt to get my kids to try the arcade stuff wherever we go that has one. (bowling alley, hockey rink etc)

good times! We used to go to the arcade at the local casino when we were in high school. Parents gave us a weird look the first time we told them we were going to the casino haha.

I can never play it properly. The balls always go right through the middle where I can't hit it, or through the corner pits.

Now, Windows XP Pinball...that's a different game altogether!

Across the street form the high school you can often see in pictures of BFI was two burger joints. I spent the better part of my high school years playing their machines, usually Louie's.
