MSNBC -VS - Fox News

Sun May 05, 2019 9:17 pm

One single event, two completely different news reports. The event is about a letter from Emmet Flood White House Special counsel to AG Bar regarding point of law regarding the Mueller report volume II. Watch both Videos, read the letter and then post back with your opinion about content of the two news reports if you wish. I will hold off with my opinion as to not corrupt anyone else's opinion.

MSNBC has never said they are news nor have they insisted they are fair and balanced. Let's start there, shall we?

No matter what any news outlet says most are not news but simply propaganda. Fox included.

Which translates to "both sides do it so let's not hold our own side accountable for their lies". Nicely played.

If Fox says the letter is spun one way and CNN says it is spun a different way, why not watch both reports and we can decide on our own? That seems more fair and balanced than simply relying on one source.

Hi. Haven’t posted in maybe over a year but I always perk up on political threads. I’ve really tried what you suggested and watch both to get both sides in order to form my own independent opinion on issues but I have found Fox News to not only be overly biased in favor of Trump and conservatives...to the point where it is infuriating and offensive. I will admit there are plenty of times CNN and MSNBC go too far in antagonizing it’s guests who are supposed to provide the conservative point of view but they are by far not as obnoxious as a Fox News.

That's fair. You are doing your part by watching both sides, so you are allowed to make judgments

Usually, I watch the "national hour" or whatever it is called on my local station (ironically owned by Fox) to get a fair and balanced sense of what is happening in the nation. I also watch NPR and ABC for fair coverage, but, like the rest of us, I'm just as guilty of ending up on Fox, CNN, or MSNBC for the majority of my news-watching

How about we start with the below to see how much Cow Dung Emmet Flood is shoveling .

It seems to me that Emmet Flood wrote a letter based on lies, misdirection and cowardliness. Pretty much the embodiment of the current White House.
As for MSNBC and Fox's take on the trash that was Emmet Flood's letter? Who cares. Idiots will consume what Idiots produce.

I can not make the connect between lies, misdirection and cowardliness in Emmet Floods letter. I did see findings in Mueler's report not based on lawful duties that were not carried out in volume II of the Mueller findings. Instead of making a lawful finding for obstruction of justice, Mueller left it up to AG Bar to make a judgment on obstruction of justice. Mueller did in fact leave "Easter eggs" in his report that caused doubt which allowed Nadler and company to put a spin on and commence on yet another unfounded witch hunt.

What is the significants of the document that appoints Robert Mueller as special counsel?

Very true. It is very difficult to find the truth with modern media. What I did observe from the two versions is that MSNBC only had 43 seconds of coverage of the Flood letter which had no reference to explaining the justification of the letter or it's significance in relation to point of law. Her dialog was certainly laced with several snide remarks and disinformation designed to project doubt on the integrity of the people involved.

After her 43 seconds of "in depth" reporting, she jump directly into the circus that was AG Bar's testimony featuring Nancy Pelosi's diatribe where she claimed that AG Bar lied to the American people and should be impeached when he related to a private letter from Mueller to his boss AG Bar, that was leaked to the public, where Mueller thought AG Bar's 4 page summary could have been more detailed. As it turned out Mueller and AG Bar discussed Mueller's concern by telephone and Mueller's concern was addressed fully when the full report was released. How by any stretch of the imagination is that lying on the part of AG Bar?

The only thing that Nicole Wallace touched on was that AG Bar was declining to testify because he didn't want to answer questions from lawyers and then she followed up sarcastically with, "Kinda funny because he is the AG." Her Jerry Springer delivery made absolutely no reference to the legal precedents described in Mr. Floods letter.

By contrast, FOX reported on the contents of Floods letter and did explain the legal ramifications of the letter with Zero false narrative or Nicole's Jerry Springer nonsense style reporting.

After reading Mr. Floods letter and then watching both media reports, which report seems more credible to you? I have my opinion, tell me about your opinion.................

IMHO Fox was more accurate and complete reporting as well as being less sensationalized.

As a Canadian I get a bit of a different view of us media than some... But I will say this I wouldn't trust any of the big 3 us news networks. My observations are this:

CNN is opportunistic... They will report the facts more or less fully for a few minutes an hour but will then spend hours upon hours spinning it to the left and down talking conservative points of view. They do show at least an attempt at civility but the result is mixed.

MSNBC does similar factual reporting and more spin but seems to spin more center left EXCEPT for conversation on Trump which seems to go all over the place. Civil conversations are secondary to getting talking points.

Fox News reports only some facts, will take things as factual that others don't, and is noticeable in it's bias but doesn't seem to hide the fact it is slanted right. Some of their commentators though seem straight out of the Looney bin. Biggest issue they will actively ignore/suppress facts to make their version work. Civility applies only to the right, the left is actively antagonized.

There I said it all and I will say I trust no single news sources... And I will actually fact check myself on issues I care about.

And no Canadian news is no better...

It shows that his task was to investigate and bring charges where he could, Most muffin heads that watch Fake news have already forgotten that under DOJ policy he could not bring charges against the President. Mueller had to leave the Easter Eggs in his Report because the DOJ was not ever going to charge the president .That had to be left to congress. So Emmit Flood is barking up the wrong tree with misdirections and lies.

So anything being reported about the Lies of Emmit Flood are just a waste of air and time.
Where ever you go, there you are.

One cronie telling another cronie their boss is right and the propaganda machine backing all that up. This is what you all are praising.

Again I ask: why is it so wrong to have a different opinion? Why is it so wrong to have an outlet that puts out an opposing view?

I don't watch either, and most Americans don't, just look at the numbers, their influence is far overrated - especially as more people cut the cord. I have to give Fox News I read credit however for sometimes reporting issues the others prefer to ignore.

But spinning the news to new heights is not limited to Fox and MSNBC. I've read Google headlines for years and sometimes the disparity in the headlines for the exact same event is hilarious, but sad. Google News itself is biased and the recent changes only made it all worse, I can no longer input who or what I want to see, for example. It really irritates me that I now cannot eliminate the Kardashians from sight....
