Question On Priority.

Wed May 15, 2019 8:27 pm

This one should be a relatively easy topic to solve, as priority upload guidelines are pretty straightforward, but still would like to ask to err on the side of caution. One of the priority guidelines is a rare visit of a military jets at airports that rarely sees them. We had a RAF KC3 Voyager visit PDX about a month ago. This was a first visit of the RAF, so clearly that was acceptable as a priority due to it being the first visit. However, we had a different aircraft come in today as well, and I was wondering if it would still be considered a valid priority upload as it would still be considered a rare visit for Portland... I am fine if it is not, but there are a few of us here in Portland who got it and I figured it would be nice to get some clarification on this issue from some of the priority and/or head screeners.

The short answer: ‘new reg @ airport’ does not qualify for priority screening.

Fair enough! I thought it may fall under the rare visit rule but it's okay.
