Which Lounge in Frankfurt?

Sun Nov 10, 2019 3:45 pm

I'm flying CAI-FRA-YVR soon on Lufthansa, and I'd like to know which lounge I can use in FRA, paid or otherwise. I'm flying Premium Economy, with a 4h40 layover.
Looking for a nice comfortable place to pass a few hours, maybe get a small meal (a pretzel and beer would do nicely), and possibly shower.
The CAI flight theoretically uses a B gate, but usually arrives at a hard stand. The YVR flight is usually from B gates.
I should have access to the Sky Lounge in Terminal 2, courtesy of my credit card (Loungekey). However it's unclear to me whether I can access Terminal 2 without going through unnecessary security checks (is the Sky Train completely airside?). Is that lounge even worth it?

Alternatively, there is the Luxx Lounge in Terminal 1, which charges EUR 25. How does it compare to the T2 Sky Lounge?

No. SkyTrain has two different cars, one open to the public, the other one airside (non-Schengen, IIRC).

There should be no additional security check when heading from T1B to Sky Lounge at Terminal 2 using Sky Train.
