Spotted this on Flightradar24 heading west out of MKE just now (Did a screen print, but I wish it was easier to drop pics into posts here). AA9897, a CR7 operated by Skywest.
Seems odd, as I'm not aware of any scheduled service on the route at the moment, and it would seem to be awfully small for a charter. Anyone have access to more information on this flight?

Has to be repo, doubt a CRJ7 could make it that far unless it was empty

MKE is a major maintenance base for SkyWest, so this is likely a repo flight.

MKE is a huge maintenance base for SkyWest. We see odd flights like this leaving MKE all the time, repositioning flights.

The first time I saw this, I read "repo" to mean "repossession".

Agreed. I believe every US carrier uses the 9000 series numbers when running a ferry flight. We always did at AS.
