Potential Westward Carriers Out Of ICT?

Does anyone know of any carrier(s) that could fly West out of ICT (other than UA). We once had F9,CO,and UA but now have only UA which charges anywhere from $450-$800 depending on circumstances. We also have HP rj service to PHX but I'm speaking more in terms of West then Southwest.

There's also Allegiant Air with flights to LAS. Last year, there was the short-lived Delta Connection RJ service to SLC, but that was ended with the spat between Delta and ICT over the AirTran subsidies. CO still flies into ICT with IAH service. There was also the TWA flights to SEA in the late 90s.

As for carriers that would realistically add new westward service out of ICT anytime soon, I can't really think of one. I doubt ICT-SLC would be reinstated in the near future. A bit off topic, but I've wondered how likely EWR service on CO or maybe IAD service on UA would be for Wichita.

CO to EWR might work but would the ERJ135/45 have the range and comfort or would a 733/735 be more practical?? MCI offers direct to DCA and is doing quite well with it, in fact many people in Wichita drive to MCI for these flights so the market is there I suppose. I was hoping Frontier might give ICT another chance but it does not seem likely. Allegiant has been running near capacity here but that is only one city LAS.

For westbound you need to look at how few hub or focus city operations there are to the west.

Basically you are looking at F9 with DEN; UA at DEN/SFO/LAX; US (HP) at PHX/LAS; AS/QX at SEA/PDX; DL at SLC; and WN at several locations.

The other airlines (AA, NW, CO, etc) have smaller non-hub operations in the major west coast cities. But I don't think they would see ICT as something they would operate west.

The 145XR makes EWR-OKC, so I can't see why ICT would be a problem.
