Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 149): Video with some in-flight footage of the RR Trent XWB-97 engine: http://videos.airbus.com/video/d7ca55a8725s.html |
Quoting BobMUC (Reply 124): Some new A350 videos released by Airbus during the last days: The A350-1000 Trent XWB-97 Engine Takes Flight: http://videos.airbus.com/video/d7ca5....html |
Quoting Ruscoe (Reply 150): That engine looks like it was made for the 380! I know I know |
Quote: The first thing that came to mind when I saw the photo was that if Airbus put three more engines on it, you’d have the A380neo. Or maybe call it the A380TXWB. Done and dusted, as they say in England. |
Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 153): That engine is way too heavy to put on the A380. |
Quoting dare100em (Reply 154): The XWB 84,000 lb - Version for the A350-900 is however lighter and better suited regarding thrust. |
Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 138): So now Finnair is getting 5 instead of 4 A350s this year? |
Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 138): Any info on MSN 12? |
Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 155): The XWB 84,000 lb - Version for the A350-900 is however lighter and better suited regarding thrust. Even the XWB-84 is 1 tonne heavier than the T900. That's 4 tonne of weight right there (four engines). |
Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 158): Quoting dare100em (Reply 157): Someone taking a guess how much will be deliverd this year and especially in 2016? Should be around 50 deliveries. |
Quote: MSN30 is now in C63 for engine fit etc. Will move to S20 afterwards. |
Quoting KarelXWB (Reply 160): MSN 27 JJ #2 was moved to cabin fit today. |
Quoting dare100em (Reply 157): Anyway it's about the A350 here. Someone taking a gues how much will be deliverd this year and especially in 2016? |
Quoting Ruscoe (Reply 150): I don't follow closely enough. Can some one tell me what the current monthly production rate is, not delivery rate. |
Quoting Miami (Reply 172): CAF for QR7 |
Quoting Ruscoe (Reply 165): So total of 50 so far, and 23 so far this year. So add another ?9 for Q4 and we have 32 for 2015, average 2.7 a month. I realise it is most unlikely that this is the current production rate, but must be indicative to some extent. Regarding 2016, if you extrapolate the graph of shipset deliveries, and it continues in its current upward trajectory (lets hope so), then I estimate about 48 in 2016 or 4 a month for shipset deliveries. |

Quoting Heavierthanair (Reply 188): Well written article on Leeham on the A 350 production ramp up |
Quoting Cx flyboy (Reply 190): I understand that the first CX delivery has been delayed - overheard one of our managers mentioning this in the lift and asking his secretary to figure out the cost of the delay to the company. Anyone with details? |
Quoting Heavierthanair (Reply 192): Qatar # 7 MSN # 13 flying "home" |
Quoting ap305 (Reply 193): must be the least number days for any QR delivery so far. |
Quoting ap305 (Reply 193): Quoting Heavierthanair (Reply 192): Qatar # 7 MSN # 13 flying "home" This is a most encouraging development... must be the least number days for any QR delivery so far. |
