Japan Airac Question

Sat Jul 11, 2009 1:14 am

I was just wondering why Japan does not conform with the usual AIRAC/Database change over? They do it about 18 hours prior to the rest of the world at 1500Z the day before.

I looked in our FOM about the database change over but found nothing about Japan and procedures to "do it right." I'm even more curious about procedures now with all the new RNAV SID, STAR, and IAF transitions that are being commissioned since as you all know, anything RNAV has to be line selected.

Anyone got any info?
