When I was young, I used to write or call airlines to see what I could get them to send me. I have some things now that I was sent for free that might be worth something.
For instance, Pan Am sent me a complete set of color prints that were actually drawings of famous airplanes in their fleet. I also have a real nice color drawing poster that SwissAir sent to me of a DC 2 I think crossing the mountains. British Airways sent me a pamphlet that slips into an envelope which is only about the Concorde. The envelope actually has the drawing of the Concorde from above. These are just a few examples of items which were sent to me for free.
I would like to hear about some of your collectibles.

I have more than 600 timetables from (as of yesterday, when a buddy mailed me the latest SWISS timetable) 115 airlines around the world. Some of my best are Yemenia, Azerbaijan Airlines, Surinam Airways, and Syrianair.
I emailed many airlines to see if they could mail me timetables on a regular basis, but got the usual "please refer to our electronic timetable available on our website" routine (I would like to thank Austrian and MEA for indulging me.) Being from the US - where even foreign airlines don't seem to keep timetables in stock - that's frustrating. I'm not interested in the damn electronic timetable.
I also have a pretty vast collection of inflight magazines (about 35 airlines) and three albums full of airport postcards (another commodity that's become harder and harder to find.)

I've got around 20 Vomit/Waste/Barf bags from verious airlines.... Everytime my friends go away I always tell them to bring me one back.
Unused of course...
I've also got two safety cards but dont collect them... a friend misunderstood me, she thought i collected safety cards when really i dont cuz youre not supposed to take them off the plane...

Mainly via the US Mail and traveling to various airports, and a friend in Vancouver, I obtained over 3000 timetables from over 300 airlines around the world.
Also many inflight magazines and a lot of other items (id tags, key chains,a lot of stickers).
The thing that used to really blow was when an enclosed letter said something like "Enclosed is our latest system timetable,etc.", and it would not be enclosed!! I am specifically thinking of Cochise Airlines from Arizona about this. Have since obtained said timetable.
I truly enjoy comparing route maps from one sched to another.

When I was a kid, I received a lot of stuff from American and United (system timetables, route maps, stickers, annual reports, applications, posters, etc.). They were always extremely generous! I also received items from Ozark, Republic (my favorite is an "occupied" seat card), and USAir. Everything else I have is from my own travels or from friends around the country/world. I've tossed a lot of timetables and inflight mags and only keep unusual ones now. My grandmother has kept her United routemaps from back when DC-7s were used. Very cool.
Snap, Krackle, and Pop are thinly veiled emblems for the Trilateral Commission.

I started collecting inflight magazines as a kid and all my parents' friends would grab them for me whenever they flew. Subsequently, I have a lot of inflight magazines back home in Ohio, mostly from the late 80s through the mid 90s. The airlines I have the most of are CX, SQ, TG and UA.
I have a couple timetables, but I can't say that I actively collect them. I have recently started to collect airline baggage tags, which is also a good way to spend time at airports. I try to collect those myself instead of buying them on eBay or having friends pick them up for me. My favourite tag is a plastic CX one from the 80s that they gave out to kids. On the front it has a cartoon of an eagle riding on top of a CX 747 (old colour scheme) and on the back it says 'FLYING ON MY FAVOURITE AIRLINE', along with a place to fill in your name & address and a 'corporate' CX logo at the bottom.
I also have a lot of random things like menus (favourite is the SQ one for kids from the 80s), airline wings (including a Piedmont one), airline socks (to wear), a MH magnetic chess/checkers set, an AS occupied seat sign and a plastic Star Alliance Gold check-in sign that has the logos of AC, LH, SK, TG, UA & RG on it.
Oh, and I sleep with four blankets, one of which is from EK's first class.

I went crazy when it came to the Republic stuff. I figured there was no reason to leave it behind...so...I quietly took tons of stuff. I have a box full of Republic flatware. I have glasses, including sherry glasses, goblets, and rocks glasses. I have Northwest Orient china. I have Western china...a complete service for four people. A cousin of mine sent me a complete service for four people of china from Legend Airlines. I have annual reports. I have flight bags. In short...I just have a ton of stuff.
I've been thinking of off loading it, but part of me can't bear to part with it.

I ask for inflight magazines (I am an inflight magazine collector with over 600+ airlines and over 3000 mags). Exclusively inflight magazines here..but some airlines send other airline stuff that I do not need.. I think I would give kudos to TRANSBRASIL they actually send some postcards, a cd, and a book (TRANSBRASIL: AN AIRLINE AND ITS AIRCRAFT), and stationary. But no inflight magazines.
So if you guys want to get rid of your inflight magazines send me a list (airline, mag name and date)..I'll love to welcome them to my home (collection)
