Emergency Exit Slides

Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:32 am

Is there any add-on aircraft for FSX out there where you can deploy emergency exit slides?

Also, can you edit the aircraft.cfg files so that other emergency exit doors can open?

Thanks in advance.  Smile

I'm not too sure about the slides, but i'm fairly sure that the opening doors are animated into the model. So if only one door opens, that's all your stuck with because it's actually the model, not the aircraft.cfg file that's the problem.

Thanks for your reply. I thought that would be a long shot.

Does anyone know of an expansion pack or add-on aircraft (free or retail) where the emergency slides can be deployed?

What do you need that for? you wanna see how it looks like? Or you want to play through emergencies with the evacuation?
Sorry, but I dont know how or where to get that from...

I don't need it, but would just like to add realism to an emergency situation. I've obviously never seen such an add on, I was just wondering whether anyone knew of one in existence.

Sorry, I have never heard about it or even see about it... Sorry I cannot help here... Have you tried in some special FS forums? there are some geeks who know a lot about it or even can program that on their own...

I love 'em! Nothing better than an engine fire and an emergency landing.  Smile

Haha..why do u need it? A real flight simulator for the pilots to practise flying does not have emergency exit slide.

After you made a plane crash in the FS (in PC), you can see the flight deck's glass was broken and the plane was torn apart. Full stop... then the FS take you back to the original airport where you started flying.

Also, there are no pax inside the FS planes. Therefore, we do not need it.

The Captain Sim 727 package has emergency exit doors that open, wing exits, and slides that deploy. Its payware but you get a good aircraft!

You go to the main cockpit which I use F10 for that shortcut and the door open/close panel/gauge is in there OR when on the outside of the aircraft you can hit SHIFT+9 to open up the door open/close gauge. Then click on the open slide button. Hope that helps.
