Verrrrrrrrrry nice. Payware? And you're flying the KC-135...pardon my ignorance..how does it all work?

C-17 is UKMIL Freeware on simviation. As for the 135, its freeware as well, from premaircraft.com . The boom is lowered by a simple switch just under the main PFD. The only A/C i've been able to fuel from it so far is the UKMIL C-17 with the boom and the VRS F/A-18E with the drouge.

Cool, and how do you fly the two at the same time? Is it kind of an ai thing?

Ai tankers package that one of my pilots developed. Take off in the 135, set alt, heading, speed, lower boom, jump into the C-17 and then go fly the to the RZ. Only difficulty is that the boom doesn't move at all, so it takes quite a bit of practice to hold the a/c steady and know where your position has to be for a successful link up, then hold that position for up to 15 min while you get topped off. Its a great deal more difficult to tank from a KC-10 as the #2 engine's jetwash is directly on the vert. stabilizer and elevators in the C-17. In the F/A-18E, you just have to be sure to stay dead center on your lineup or the jetwash from the underwing engines will absolutely trash your approach, making you fall back to 1 1/2 mile and make your approach again. Not to mention worrying about damaging the refueling probe by smashing it into the drouge or breaking the boom with a sudden pitch up in the C-17. Always a hair raising experience, even if its just in a sim.

P.S. Computer not expected to be back in working order for 8 weeks......

I doubt that their runway is thick enough for a heavy like that. Make a left turn toward KONT. Our runway is long and thick enough for the A-380. I'll take you up to the Mt. Baldy Lodge for some local brew.

Very nice set!

Asia seems like a good place for short- and midhaul flights on big aircraft.

Quoting aerdingus (Reply 126):
That F1 livery is fantastic too.

Agreed, this one is on the A340-600, though.

No biggie at all, The Beast is a great aircraft as well. I haven't really done any Airbus flights in the closer past, though. I should probably take up to it again!

Another nice A380 set aerdingus, gotta love that one screenshot with the roaring beacon light!

By the way: Nice job squeezing the big jet into the parking position.

Back in the CO A380...

http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww199/xxdarkknight/fs92010-09-2102-36-38-16.jpg

My only issue with this bird is, of course, the panel. Using a 747 panel in an Airbus is blasphemy   . I don't know if ya'll know of a really good panel, but here's one that looks pretty good. (and it works)

Well, there is one made for FSX but it kinda works in FS9, if you have FS Panel Studio you can tweak it a bit, I made my own using the bitmap from that panel, plus gauges from Ken Mitchell's A340 Panel and some CLS gauges, not entirely accurate but it does the job for me

Please do, it's a joy to fly and the model is absolutely amazing, and I am sure you will make some stunning screenies.

Read the manual on the Project Airbus forums on how to fly it and as long as you keep on the speeds she will handle beautifully.

I have found that landing it on flaps 3 is much better than on full flaps, on full it tends to float a lot during the flare, but on flaps 3 it just goes down nicely to the runway.

Wonderful A380 shots MIA & Batman!

I really do love that bird...both in and out of sim.

Luftfahrer one of my favourite schemes on the queen looks magnificent in that shot.

And of course, AerD....extremely entertaining and lovely shots too as always.

Keep up the excellent screenies all!

I need to get me in a 4-holer soon.
