Caught What Looks Like A Bird Strike

Wed Jan 21, 2015 12:27 am

This is a 100% size image cropped to the aircraft otherwise unedited for forensic reasons. Doesn't look like it belongs on the windshield. The aircraft tail number is N213JQ. It is a Delta Connection flying for Shuttle America Corp. The image digital record shows the time was 10:28am on the 17h of January which matches the Flightaware.com data: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N.../history/20150117/1300Z/KCMH/KTPA. The flight number was TCF7303 inbound from KCMH (Columbus, Ohio).

FOX news asked me for the image already.

All the best!

I think that this belongs in either Civ Av or Travel Polls & Preferences

Maybe, but the A/C didn't divert (Unless this happened right on final). I see as more of a weird angle on the windshield wipers, but who knows?

I'm pretty sure it's just the wipers plus the center pylon/support of the windshield.

The combo can look pretty beefy from certain angles:

Complete side note: why, in a database with over 2 million photos, is it so difficult to find a comparable photo? This happens every time I try to do this.
