Hello everyone, I’m not entirely certain were to post this as the XB-70 Valkyrie had US
AF (Military) and NASA (Civilian) markings, and we’re discussing a drawing in particular. So if this is in the wrong place, I apologize.
A long story short, I work for an art center in Grand Junction, Co. that offers free art classes to veterans. About a year ago, someone dropped off a matted print of “Dance of the Valkyrie” by Mike Machat and said that anyone who wanted it could have it. I’m a huge XB-70 fan and jumped at the opportunity. But it didn’t take me long to realize that this wasn’t just any print. Under the image is a metal plaque reading...
“D.G. Eggensperger
Expeditor. Flight Simulation”
... Followed by what I believe are the North American Aviation lapel pins for 1, 2, 5, 10, and 15 years of service.
I’ve been digging around on and off but I can’t find anything other than NAA getting absorbed into Rockwell, then into Boeing.
If anyone can provide any more information me, and the art center, would be most appreciative. They gentleman who dropped it off has never shown back up.
