Priority Screening - Opinions?

Thu Jul 22, 2010 12:42 am

As long as I'm on the forum...

NASA is deploying its DC-8 platform at KFLL in mid-August for several weeks and I'll be out there with the rest of the media. It's part of their GRIP hurricane studies.

Locally, yes, it's news.

For a global audience, however, would this limited deployment qualify for priority screen?

Priority is usually given only for new liveries/types, accidents, and certain airshows, so no it likely won't qualify. If you want to be sure, you can contact the priority screening team and ask.

Thanks. Helps to know before I waste the screeners' time.

(Reminds me of a participant we had on the forum years ago who was absolutely convinced that Columbus, OH was the Center of the Aviation World).
