American BOG-MIA Boeing 763

Wed Feb 25, 2015 9:37 pm

Hello.. it has been a long time since I wrote a TR.. but I went to Bogota for family reasons and on my way back I got the pleasant surprise of an updated business class on American 763. As far as I know it is new on this route.

American Airlines
BOG - MIA
J

BOG,at LAN's VIP Lounge:

BOG at the gate:

On board:

OJ or Champagne? -"Both please"

The new control tower in construction:

They distributed tablets, but I was set already with my own computer:

The lunch was very tasty and tasted fresh:

Dessert was good too:

Overall, a very pleasant experience, the crew were fantastic.

Thanks for sharing pana! The new tower is going to look pretty tall from what I can see.

American Airlines has certainly picked up their game with their on-board food service! Food looks very tasty, and I also agree with the above comments that it's nice to get something else besides ice-cream. Don't get me wrong, I love ice-cream, but I also love lots of other deserts as well too.

Thanks for sharing!

I thought they only serve ice cream. A nice change.

Meanwhile in economy their meals are bad; especially departing from the US.

I am sick of their lettuce and chocolate brownie.

However the breakfasts are OK.

Looks great! I'm on one of those from DUB to JFK in July and really looking forward to it because it was the old cabins that were planned when I booked.
Are the seats comfortable for sitting and sleeping?

Nice report -- question: did the coach seats get new coverings at all?

Good to see they have truly international plugs (e.g. you can plug in something from the UK/Singapore/Hong Kong). However, pitiful they don't have PTVs.

Yes, economy was refreshed with new seat coverings identical to those on the 77W (no AVOD though) with new carpet. I believe the sidewalls and bins remained as-is.
