A wonderful detailed view of the entire airfield and surrounding neighbourhood (I lived just off the bottom of the picture). It is nice to see how old MKE has grown since I moved. The North Concourse (the old "B") was still under construction the last time I was there. Also see that the International Arrivals terminal has now been connected to the main complex. Alas the old 440th is no more, though one C-130 is still visible on the tarmac south of the passenger terminal. Remember spending many a Saturday afternoon standing at the fence along Layton Ave. (the street in the lower portion of the photo) watching the 707s, 727s, DC-8s L-188s & KC-97s from the ANG refuelling wing literally pass overhead.

The airport also hosted a major airshow during the 60s - 80s, which became part of the city's annual Summerfest. One year saw appearances by both the T-Birds and Angels on the same show ticket (with those Big Bad F-4s).
