The brand new Terminal 2 was put into use four months ago, which is four times the size of the original Terminal 1 and now houses 90 percent of all airlines at the airport, most of the domestic flights are starting here. T1 is located at the other side of the runways, which is now exclusively for international flights and Spring Air. The New terminal 2 is an integrated terminal, which is connected with the Hongqiao station(hi-speed railway) at the west side of terminal 2. The middle of the terminal is prepared for the maglev. The proposed extension of the Shanghai Maglev Train would connect Pudong and Honagqiao airport.

Nice to see the expansion and modernization of this relatively small airport. It is very similar to Sao Paulo GRU in Brazil.
