An overview of Uchinoura Space Center, located in Kimotsuki, southeast of Kagoshima, Japan. Following the location research by Dr.Hideo Itokawa, the pioneer of Japanese rocket technology, the facility was built in 1963 as the second space center in Japan. The main launch pad, the tower(left), the 34-meter antenna(right), and the control center are seen here from the public deck. From here, over 400 rockets including the recent SS-520 and the Epsilon were launched by JAXA. [Nikon D700, Nikkor 24-120mm F4]
