These are such amazing planes! Great quality scan too.

This aircraft is more than curious. It is obviously not really a JAL plane ass the registration is from the Soviet Union And on the top you can read AEROFLOT. - The tail shows a red flag.
Yet the nose says Japan Airlines - can someone help with this mystery?

The Tu-114 was neither slow nor that old. in fact, it was the fastest turbo-prop airliner ever built, it's cruising speed being some 880 km/h which is in the same class as Boeing's early 707 (897 km/h). btw, both aircraft share the same wing sweep, and the turboprops made the soviet airliner much more economical ;-)
