Caption
A very rare subtype of the Tu-104 is the Tu-104E. Only 2 were produced and they were never put into passenger service. The Tu-104E differs from other Tu-104s by having modified turbojet engines and intakes, add fuel capacity and slats. This particular Tu-104 was mfd 1959 and was operated by a research institute until retired.
