This is a rarity Air Canada and Delta, behind one another both going out on rwy 25, both 777-200LRs, I've never seen it before.

It's rare at SYD, not often you see two North American carriers tailgating each other

Good photo. It is rare indeed because, to the visitor from the States who may have not noticed that this was at Sydney, Delta and Air Canada are the only North American airlines(except United) that operate to Australia.

Rare because rwy 25 doesn't get used very often, AC and DL are both heavies doing long sectors(syd-vancouver and syd-lax), meaning they normally use the longer rwy 16R/34L and both are 777-200LRs which not many airlines have. Hope this answers this and future queries. Morris

Well I would hardly call myself an aviation enthusiast if I dind't like twins... luckily I don't have a problem with them, after the 747 the 777 and 757 are my fave jet airliners, with the A340-500 and A330 coming 4th and 5th. And of the 777, the LR, the most capable airliner in the world overall if you ask me, is my absolute favorite! So a very cool shot to me!
