In 1960 I went from Chattanooga, Tennessee to San Diego to visit my brother, There were no direct flights then, so two sections of the trip were made on DC 3's. I enjoyed the sound and the surge of power as those great planes went down the runway and lifted off! Modern jetliners may be quieter and smoother, but almost boring!

The photo was well done and it reminds me of my days in the Airforce of Zimbabwe back in 1982 when I started my aircraft maintenance apprenticeship. The first aircraft I worked on was the DC3 known then as the Dakota. This picture reminds me of great memories I will always cherish.Great shot.
