Contrast of beauty and technological sophistication of the aircraft, foreground, with the low-tech detritus of modern life just behind it; and that in turn grading into the ambiguous industrial background, sinews of contemporary modernity, further off; above everything, elemental expressionless sky ... (hint of smog, but still of serenity): the hopes and challenges of the times are all captured there, frozen for inspection and hindsight interpretation ......

For me.....one of the sexiest airliners yet....romantic 50's & 60's. to look up and see the pilots at that height was entrancing for me as a lad of 10yrs
