I am assuming this frame was used for more short-hop routes within Japan (domestic) and therefore by the time it was WFU, the lifespan of the frame would have been maxed out.

When I went to Japan in 1991, ANA had either 5 or 6 L-1011's left in service. I remember 2 having English ANA-All Nippon Airways titles & they operated regional services from Narita. The others had Japanese titles & were used out of Haneda. Some of their 21 L-1011's had left the fleet in the 1980's & went on to Hawaiian Airlines amongst others. By the time I returned in 1997, they had sadly all gone.
