Aloha no more. One day after the airline shutdown, several of its planes line the alleyway just south of the interisland terminal. The rest of the fleet is scattered into nooks and cranies across the airport.

How a sad picture, truly. An airline shutdown is always bad news for people like me, you and us who love airline business in general. Hope see Aloha in the air someday in the future...

So sad to see them grounded like this. I flew on them for the first and last time 13 years ago. I remember Aloha being a very friendly service carrier. Sadly, I will never be able to fly on them again. RIP Aloha.

This is an awesome picture of a really sad scene. Seeing beautiful planes without a good home is very disheartening.

Wasn't one of these girls' sisters the poor old lady that ripped open during flight? Sad btw that the Funbird-company must give up against the non-fun totally commercial airlines...

Wow. This photo nearly brought me to tears.
I never thought I would see the day in which these aircraft wouldn't be carrying passengers anymore. All these beautiful 732s... I'm not gonna talk about it.
RIP Aloha Airlines
DON'T FLY GO!!

It is very sad that Aloha Airlines has shut down. I go to Hawaii at least once a year, and loved seeing the 737-200s. It will be interesting to see what happens with the other airlines

I am happy to say I was able to fly in one on Dec. 26, 2007; what a great airline.

GO / Mesa Airlines are scum. Do not fly them.

A great shot of a sad scene, Aloha's 737-200s have become an enduring icon of Hawaii for almost 4 decades. I hope N823AL in Funbird livery should be statically preserved off airport in this livery, and kept as a fully themed cafe/restaurant, interior done up retro with as well as a shrine to Aloha's 62 years of service, not to mention the glorious, heady, halcyon earlier days of jet travel. Think about it, the 737-200 has revolutionised travel in Hawaii, for that long, more significant than a DC-3, so this is most fitting. At the same time, the Funbird livery captures the vibrancy of the traditional Hawaii, it's perfect idea, definitely eye-catching and much better than just another restaurant or cafe in a building. Such a use would pay for the upkeep of the aircraft as well.
Save Liholiho before it's too late!

Off-topic, I think a FedEX MD11 or perhaps DC-10 is departing in the background.
